Dr. Thom Nass completed his doctorate degree in reproductive sciences
at the University of Wisconsin in 1980. He established the IVF laboratory at
UCLA Medical Center in 1983, prior to moving to Berkeley where he was the IVF
laboratory director at Alta Bates Medical Center for 11 years. While in Berkeley
Dr. Nass served as a consultant laboratory director to seven fertility clinics
throughout California, Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado. He also helped to establish
the Northern California Association of Reproductive Biologists and served as
its president from 1991-1992. In 1995 he joined Dr. Werlin as the Laboratory
Director at Coastal Fertility Medical Center.
Dr. Nass has authored 20 publications, including 3 chapters in
books on ovarian function and reproduction. He is a member of the American Society
for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for the Study of Reproduction and the
Endocrine Society.
