Anne Littlefield Chun is an RN who began working with Dr. Werlin
in 1994. She graduated with a BSN from Valparaiso University in 1985, and
worked in labor and delivery from 1985-1994. She also worked in outpatient
ob/gyn at Northwestern University beginning in 1990. She transitioned within
the department to Reproductive Endocrinology in 1991. Anne also helped open
and establish the nursing role at Highland Park Fertility Center in Illinois.
ELLEN MARELLO
Embryology Laboratory Supervisor
Ellen Marello, supervisor of the A.R.T. laboratory, joined Coastal
Fertility Medical Center in 1999. She has over 16 years in the infertility
field, with extensive experience in micromanipulative procedures including
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Assisted Hatching (AH) and Embryo
Biopsy for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD).
Ellen received her B.S. in Physiology from UC Davis, and completed an internship
in horse breeding in Hungary. Ellen has traveled extensively throughout
Mexico and Central and South America to establish IVF laboratories and provide
training and troubleshooting to established labs. She has also consulted
for IVF laboratories in Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Italy. She has
been invited to present workshops in several countries, teaching embryo
cryo-preservation.
Ellen established Coastal Fertility’s Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis
(PGD) program after completing her training at Norfolk and St. Barnabas,
two of the world’s most renowned PGD laboratories. She has performed
biopsies on hundreds of PGD embryos to date.
Ellen says she enjoys working in the infertility field because it enables
her to utilize skills she obtained from UC Davis and her post-graduate work,
and apply it to helping couples achieve their dreams of parenthood.
JOHN WHITNEY
Embryologist
John Whitney, Embryologist, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. At Cal Poly, John received training from a nationally recognized embryology program focusing on current human embryology techniques and skills. His course work applied learning practices which included IVF, ICSI, cell biopsy, and embryo cryopreservation. After working for one year in a production antibody lab, he joined Coastal Fertility Medical Center to continue his work in embryology. John is happy to be a part of the Coastal Fertility team and enjoys knowing he will assist with “your health, your hopes, your baby.”
MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER
Andrologist
Michael has been part of the Andrology team at Coastal Fertility Medical
Center since 2000.
He is a graduate of Vanguard University, and has a degree in Cultural Anthropology
with an emphasis in Applied Medical Anthropology. Michael is also a graduate
of Newbridge College where he received his certification as a Medical Lab
Technician.

LISA TRAN
Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist
Lisa has been a Medical Phlebotomy Assistant with Coastal Fertility
for 3 years. She received her diploma in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy
from Bryman College. Having trained in all aspects of front and back office
medical assisting and phlebotomy, she assists in these areas as well as
in the clinical lab as a lab technician. She chooses to work in the infertility
field because she finds it fascinating, and would like to learn all that
she can about infertility causes and treatments.
