Visiting Coastal Fertility

Many patients from across the country and around the world travel to Coastal Fertility to have their IVF procedures done. We have a special program for patients outside of the area to make this process as convenient as possible. We are located approximately 10 minutes away from Orange County International Airport, and 45 minutes away from Los Angeles International Airport.

The initial step is a telephone consultation with one or our physicians. After reviewing your records and discussing your case, we will individualize your plan. Many tests can be done at local hospitals or medical facilities where you live. Most patients will see us one time prior to their IVF cycle. At this visit, we can take care of any tests that need to be performed. Your cycle can be started where you live, and you will travel to California a few days prior to the IVF procedure. Generally our patients take 1-2 weeks off to travel to California and have their procedure performed.

Tests that are generally performed prior to IVF include:

• Semen Analysis
• Day 3 FSH and Estradiol blood tests
• STD screening blood tests for both partners
• Uterine Evaluation with trial transfer
• Other tests as necessary, we will discuss with you during the phone appointment
